Jin Lee

b. 1994 Seoul, South Korea

Jin Lee was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. She received a BFA in Studio Art at School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has a background in Landscape architecture, focussing on Ecology, and worked as a researcher before she transferred to SAIC. Currently, Jin is pursuing her MFA at SAIC within the Printmedia department with an anticipated graduation of May 2021.

Jin is interested in the concepts of sharing ideas among various repetitions and how a system could be revealed in the iterations. She visualizes her interests by printing the logic of patterns, shapes, and layers and making tools and systems to print.
